Rider agreement
This is the agreement between Protein House and the riders who deliver for us with the Protein House app. You accept it when you apply in the app. WhatsApp or call us on 0323 3174738 or email proteinhousepakistan@gmail.com.
The basis
You deliver for us by motorbike, as an independent rider, when you choose to. You are not our employee: you choose when to go online, and you are free to deliver for others.
Your pay for each delivery is known before you take it, it is paid promptly, and we never charge you interest, fines or late fees.
Taking a delivery
- The kitchen calls you or sends an offer in the app. The offer shows exactly what you earn for that delivery. You can say no to any offer.
- Once you accept, collect the food, tap "I have picked up the food" and take it straight to the customer.
- Ask the customer for their delivery code and enter it to finish. Never finish a delivery unless the food has reached the customer.
- Keep customers' names, numbers and addresses private. Use them only for that delivery.
Your pay
- Your pay for a delivery is the whole delivery fare: the trip's distance times the per-km rate the kitchen sets (petrol for the trip plus your earning per km), and never less than the petrol for the trip. The kitchen and the customer share the cost of the fare; that doesn't reduce your pay.
- The amount is fixed when the order is placed and shown on the offer. It doesn't change after you accept.
- Pay-on-delivery order: you keep your pay from the cash you collect, at the door.
- Paid-in-advance order: your pay is added to your earnings in the app after delivery, and the kitchen pays it in cash or sets it against cash you hand over.
- Failed trip: if you can't deliver and you bring the food back to the kitchen, you are paid 30% of that delivery's pay for your time and petrol.
- If your drop-off location shows the trip was longer than the order said, the kitchen checks it and can add the difference to your pay.
Cash you hold
Cash you collect for the kitchen, and food you carry, are held in trust (amanah). Hand the kitchen's share over within a day. Every amount is recorded in the Cash tab of your app, and you can answer "Not correct" to any handover the kitchen records so it is counted again.
The kitchen may set a limit on the cash you can hold. While you are over it you get no new offers until you hand cash over. This is never a fine.
The kitchen may ask you to pay for the food when you collect it. You get that money back from the customer's cash. If the delivery fails and you bring the food back, the kitchen pays you back in full.
If something is lost
You pay only for cash or food that is lost or damaged through your own fault or carelessness, and only the actual amount lost. If it is lost through no fault of yours, for example in a robbery or an accident you didn't cause, you don't pay for it. Report it to us straight away.
Any amount we add to or take off your balance is recorded with its reason, and you can see it in the app.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time. We can stop offering you deliveries, for example after repeated failed deliveries or cash not handed over. Either way, we first settle what is owed both ways: we pay you what you have earned, and you hand over cash you hold.
Once everything is settled you can delete your account in the app.
If we disagree
Tell us. We will look at the records together and settle it fairly. If we still can't agree, the matter is decided under the laws of Pakistan.
